Convertri Updates – 13/08/19

Not going to lie, I thought “query strings” were a breakfast cereal for scientists.

When that phrase first popped up in our update queue a few months back, I – and most other people in the world – were like, “what?”

Turns out, they’re pretty neat.

If you haven’t been keeping an eye on our query strings features, I wouldn’t blame you – they look worryingly techy on the surface. They’re not: in fact, query strings are adorable little squiggles of usefulness that can help anyone (even you) make more sales.

And they’re really flexible.

Our devs have been able to cook up some fantastic query string-flavoured feature recipes, and this week we’re giving you a couple more.

This week, they’re helping you hide data in plain sight, and even filling out forms for you.

We also have exciting new updates for our Pro and Agency users, as well as brand new templates.

So, take a look at all of this by hitting CTRL+SHIFT+R (or CMD+SHIFT+R if you’re on a Mac) to see what’s new:

FEATURES

Carousels [PRO, AGENCY] – as rotating whirligigs of image-y goodness (they rejected my name suggestion), these brand new elements let you create a mini slideshow for products, testimonials, galleries and anything your heart wants. Pro and Agency users can find them in the Elements tray.

Query Strings – there are multiple situations where you might want to pass incoming query string data on Convertri pages on to forms via hidden fields. You used to be able to do this in HTML forms only – now, you can add it to your third-party integration forms as well. Find the new options in the Forms dialog.

Forms – in another update to the way you use forms, you can now use query strings to pre-populate your forms with data passed in from the URL. It looks swish as heck. Check it out in the Properties panel of your text input elements.

BUGS

None this week, so here’s another bug fact: it would take about 1.2 million mosquito bites to drain all the blood from your body. I don’t know about you, but I thought that number would be higher.

Happy converting!
