Convertri Updates – 31/05/22

Beth’s back!

I had a fantastic holiday travelling all the way to John O’Groats to see off a friend who’s cycling the length of the country right now.

Yes, he’s a madman.

But luckily for you, I’ve opted to return to the warm, comfortable and stationary glow of my laptop to bring you all the latest in Convertri news.

I trust Neil and Dan have kept you up to date with things – this week there looks to be more bug fixes ahead, as well as some interesting things happening in the Facebook group.

Ahh. It’s good to be back.

Here’s what’s been happening around Convertri HQ:

FEATURES

Nothing as of now – but stay tuned for updates in the near future.

BUGS

Mobile scaling – pages weren’t displaying properly on minority of small screen mobile devices, so we patched our mobile mode to improve viewing experience on even more phones.

Menus – menu elements in shared headers were having a pixel size that wasn’t an integer. This was an issue, so we fixed it.

Videos – if you set your video to autoplay while a credit card input was also on your page, your video may not have played automatically. We fixed it.

URL parameters – only the last value for any key would be passed on when using URL parameters. The correct behaviour is to preserve all values for a given key, so we fixed it.

INTERESTING STUFF

I wrote an article all about ToFu – not the delicious soya product, but rather the marketing term that sorts out what piece of content should go where in your funnel. Find out more here:

Elsewhere, Allan Curme sparked an interesting discussion about how much to charge for making a website:

And on this day in history, the United States established copyright law in 1790.  Two hundred and thirty two years later, YouTubers are still cursing it. Is your intellectual property copyrighted? Display your ownership for all to see by making sure you fill out the Copyright section in your Page Info. Find out how to do that here:

Stay safe, and happy converting!
