Convertri Updates – 04/09/18

It doesn’t have to be the end.

Soon, what may look like the “end” may in fact be a wonderful beginning…

…But enough about my horoscope.

This week, we have exciting news about a frequently-requested feature that is launching in two parts: cart abandonment marketing.

This feature will mean any prospects who abandon your page mid-sale can be added to an autoresponder list. You can then send discounts, elegant pitches of woo, ethical bribes and any other charming ways you want to get them back on your side.

By the way, this isn’t a quick feature we added in for the lulz…

Cart abandonment works.

(Warning: numbers inbound.)

According to Moosend, nearly 45% of cart abandonment emails are opened. Of those, 21% of them received click-throughs: so about half of the ones opened received engagement.

And of those?

50% of the users who clicked went on to complete their purchase.

How much are those so-called “missed” sales worth to you?

(Quite a lot, right?)

This week you’ll be able to add your prospects to your lists when they abandon your cart. Next week, we are going to add the option to automatically remove prospects from your abandonment lists after successful checkout.

And for now, take a sip of the cool, refreshed-ing Convertri by hitting CTRL + SHIFT + R (or CMD + SHIFT + R if you’re on a Mac):

FEATURES

Cart abandonment – you can now add prospects who abandon their cart before confirming the sale to an autoresponder list. Configure this in the new modal checkout feature by setting your button properties to Checkout and having one Email form field on your page. Then, just click Products in the top toolbar and head to the new Cart Abandonment tab.

Page templates – we’ve released a brand new funnel template, available to all members. Find the Long Opt-In template set in the standard page template selection screen.

Page templates [PRO] (to the tune of Dua Lipa, “New Rules”) –
Assessment (checkout) – one: they hand over money in your store…
Assessment (delivery) – two: you give them what they’re lookin’ for…
Assessment (upsell) – three: offer them a little somethin’ more…
Assessment (thank you) – four: a polite greeting lets them know the score.

BUGS

Google PageSpeed Insights – pages (re)published from August 1st to September 4th had an error reported by Google PageSpeed Insights. It probably had little to no effect on page load times, but it affected your score negatively, so we fixed it. Please republish your affected pages.

Happy converting!
