Convertri Updates – 26/03/24
Welcome to the very first of our big monthly feature drops! Every four weeks, we release a bunch of brand new functionality that will make your pages faster, your sales higher, and your lives just a little bit easier.
Our devs have been hard at work building new features this month, with the result that we have more than half a dozen new ways you can use Convertri to organize, build and promote your content. Included in this are some very cool new ways you can augment your campaigns…
For example, our star feature this week is definitely adding autoresponder tags to submitted emails once an event has been completed. This will let you do things like add a “watched” tag to a subscriber when they finish a video on your page, or a “big reader” tag when they scroll right down to the bottom of the page – you can add this action at page and element level for even more ways of segmenting your audience to fine-tune your marketing efforts. We’d like to thank Brandon Shelton for suggesting this feature – excellent idea Brandon, and we hope you enjoy it!
Meanwhile, there’s a lot going on in Memberships, with the ability to clone lessons – no more starting from scratch every.single.time! – and more video hosting options including Vimeo and Wistia. YouTube will only let you add your videos to membership lessons if they’re set to Public, so we hope these extra options will let you stay private as well as flexible when giving content to your students.
Not only that, but in this email we also have the weekly walkthrough from Alexa in the Facebook group, as well as an important piece of news for WordPress users (just FYI, our plugin is still fine – so feel free to keep using it!).
How’s your Tuesday treating you so far? Grab a coffee, put up your feet, and let’s take a look at the updates:
NEWS
Bad news if you use the Rank Math WordPress plugin – an XSS vulnerability is said to affect over two million websites: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/rank-math-wordpress-seo-plugin-vulnerability-affects-2-million-sites/512168/
Meanwhile, over in the Facebook group, Alexa kindly gives us the whys and wherefores of cart abandonment: https://www.facebook.com/groups/convertri/posts/3449714408505898/
And on this day, sixteen years after being cancelled, the BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who returned to television with a new episode in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston in the title role. NEW FEATURES
Actions and Events – a new action is available for pages and elements which adds an autoresponder tag when your chosen event happens. This will require the user to have entered their email address data into a form on your page for this to work.
Memberships: lesson cloning – you can now clone lessons in your membership sites, so if you need to create multiple lessons that follow the same structure you can use one as a template.
Memberships: Vimeo videos – you can now use Vimeo to host videos for your membership sites, and add them in the same way as you’d add a YouTube video.
Memberships: Wistia videos – and just like Vimeo, you can now use your Wistia-hosted videos on your membership sites, too.
Forms: phone country codes – country codes are important when collecting international phone numbers, and you can now use a Phone form field element to collect them by toggling “Country Code” to On in the Properties panel. It’s also available in the Forms widget.
Rename page folders – we recently added this new organizational feature in the Funnels screen, and now you can rename your page folders by clicking on their three-dot menu.
Rename video folders – in the Campaigns > Video area of the app, you can now also rename your video folders by clicking on the three-dot menu.
Happy converting!
