Convertri Updates – 07/02/23

If you haven’t read these updates for a while, you may not know that the beta for our new membership sites feature has well and truly started.

Our squad of beta warriors are poking and prodding it to see what bugs fall out, and giving us tons of amazing suggestions to work into the final product. Thanks, guys!

Keep your eyes peeled here for news, because the feature is still on track to release to Pro and Agency users on 28th February.

But in the meantime, we have some updates on the main app for you lovely people to peruse.

What better way to spend a Tuesday?

Here’s everything that’s been happening in Convertri HQ this week:

FEATURES

Buttons –  you can now configure buttons in Link mode to open that link in a new tab: perfect if you want people to stay on your page while they open the link to read later. Find the setting in your button’s Properties panel.

Images – in our new universal image manager, accessible in the Dashboard, you can now click a three-dot menu and rename your images to make them easier to sort and locate.

BUGS

PNG images –  PNG files with transparent parts appear darker on preview or published pages, even if you choose No Compression/Original Image. We’ve fixed it so now your images should look perfect.

A records – if you had non-A records on the apex of a domain (so empty or “@” for the Name part), editing may have caused the records to be treated as A records. This includes the text entered leading to an error on submission. This was only happening on the apex, not with subdomains. Now the A status is fully respected, and there should be no more issues.

Shared headers and footers – if you turned on a shared header or footer on a page, and the shared header/footer was empty or not set up, you may have seen a publishing error. We fixed it.

Radio buttons – if radio buttons were present on a page but you hadn’t customised a font for it, that may have led to some errors. We’ve fixed it.

INTERESTING STUFF

In the Facebook group this week, Alexandra shows us all the wonderful things we can do with buttons:

Dan shows us how to Marie Kondo our images to spark joy:

And finally, on this day in history, the animated film Pinocchio had its world premiere in 1940, and it became one of Disney’s most beloved classics. The story is famously about a wooden puppet whose nose grows when he lies – unfortunately, we cannot make your users’ noses grow when they input the wrong email, but we can use form validation to at least make sure it looks real. And is that not, in our modern time, real magic? Find out how to do it here: https://help.convertri.com/article/134-how-to-use-form-validation

Happy converting!
