Convertri Updates – 01/12/20

Are you getting tired of your same-old cart?

This week, we’re making major upgrades to our cart system. These changes have been in the pipeline for a while, so you know we’ve tested the everloving heck outta ‘em.

They’re powerful, they’re packed with potential profitability, and they’re finally here.

Say hello to these brand new features:

Shipping – you can now add shipping costs to your products, as well as setting different prices for regions across the world.

Discounts – add discount codes to your products and reel in bargain-loving customers with permanent discounts for round-the-clock savings.

Quantities – your customers can now buy multiple units of one item in one transaction.

Coupons – give your customers special coupon links for them to take advantage of one-time-only savings across your products.

FEATURES

Shipping – head to the Edit Product screen in the Cart section of the Dashboard, and you’ll see a new option on the left-hand menu. Here you can add shipping costs to your products and set shipping regions with different prices. These features will work on the modal and on-page checkout: e.g, if you set shipping on a product, shipping will be charged. However we’re still working on making the price dynamically update, so you’ll need to put the shipping information on the page yourself.

Discounts – head to the Edit Product screen and click on Price. You’ll see a new section called Discount. Toggle the switch to On to add a permanent discount: this shows up in the cart as a reduction in price for all customers.

Quantities – add a new dropdown field to your form, and you’ll find you can set the mode to Quantity. This will tell you how many units of an item the customer wants, as well as updating the total price accordingly.

Coupons – head to the Cart screen of the Dashboard, and click on the new Coupons option in the left hand menu. Here you can add coupons to give away to affiliates, influencers, friends, family and well-wishers – and, well, whoever you want. Right now, Coupons will apply across all your products.

Analytics – we’ve overhauled the Analytics screen to be a bit more gorgeous. Stay tuned, because we’ll be adding more functionality to this screen in the near future.

BUGS

Pixabay – image previews weren’t working, although the images would show as normal when added to a page. We’ve fixed that.

Parameters – URL parameters were being decoded twice in api/form.js. In human-speak, this meant that special characters were being encoded (for example, “an example” became “an%20example”) and the page was trying to decode it back and going “what”. We’ve fixed it, so now your URL parameters will not be converted to nonsense.
