Convertri Updates – 17/11/20

A picture’s worth a thousand words.

But is it worth a thousand pixels?

Or a thousand seconds to download when you’re in a hurry?

We’ve made some changes this week that will help your images look their very best, all day every day, no matter what device they’re viewed on… without sacrificing page load speed.

First impressions are important, after all.

In other news, we’re running a new training webinar at 4PM GMT on Thursday, all about video.  Here’s where you can sign up:

Neil will be your host, so tune in to watch him demonstrate how to get the best possible results with video, every time.

And if you want to watch the replay of last Thursday’s Getting Started webinar, you can do so by clicking here:

In the meantime, hit CTRL+SHIFT+R (or CMD+SHIFT+R if you’re on a Mac to check out  what’s new this week.

FEATURES

Images – when you clicked Change Image, it fit the new selected image into the frame of the old one, which often leads to it being squashed. Now, element(s) will be resized to match the proportions of the image  so they’re less likely to need adjusting afterwards.

Retina images – we’ve implemented a new feature that allows us to serve different pixel densities depending on the device. You’ll need to republish your pages to see the changes, but it means your images will always look their best on all screens.

Chrome – you now need to be running Chrome version 80 or later to use Convertri. If you’re running an earlier version, you’ll see a warning message letting you know you’ll need to upgrade.

Page templates (PRO) –

We’ve updated the following funnel to make the most of Convertri’s newest features:

BUGS

No bugs have been squashed this week, so here’s a couple of bug facts for you: house crickets contain approximately 21 grams of protein per 100 grams, and silkworms have over three times the antioxidants as orange juice. Bon appetit.

Stay safe, and happy converting!
