Convertri Updates – 25/08/20
No one trusts what does not cast a shadow.
Vampires not only cast no reflection, but historically they cast no shadow, either. (Especially in sunlight.)
Peter Pan’s shadow has a life of its own and he has to sew it back onto his feet, which is pretty traumatising for an audience of small children.
Put simply, shadows are how we know things are real. The only exception to this rule is Lāhainā Noon, a phenomenon which occurs in Hawaii before and after the summer solstice when the sun’s direct rays hit the landscape directly overhead.
During Lāhainā Noon, objects that stand straight up such as flagpoles, telephone poles and people with excellent posture cast no shadow because the sun is directly above them.
Yes, this irony is particularly cruel for Hawaiian vampires, who would be burned up seconds after they walked among us undetected at Lāhainā Noon.
I don’t think they make leis out of garlic, but it’s best to add a couple of cloves to be safe when we finally book that long-awaited vacation.
Anyway, you need not worry any longer that your buttons will be mistaken for vampires – because they now cast proper shadows. We also have a couple of brand new page templates as well as some bug fixes.
So, without any further ado, grab a stake and hit the ol’ CTRL+SHIFT+R (or CMD+SHIFT+R if you’re on a Mac to check out what’s new this week.

FEATURES
Button modes – as we update and add new cool stuff to the Page Editor, sometimes the names of features have to change to keep things clear. We’ve renamed our button modes to make it clearer to understand which each one does:
- Submit is now Sign Up
- On-page Checkout is now Purchase
- Checkout is now Open Checkout
Test sales – when you’re making a sales funnel, it’s a good idea to test it out with a live purchase. But even using test mode, these sales were recorded as if they were real sales in our system. So even if you’ve “bought” something from yourself to test out your page, this meant your orders list was getting stuffed full of sales which weren’t real sales, and you couldn’t delete them to get more accurate stats. We’ve now given you the ability to mark these sales as a “Test”, to keep them separate from your real sales.

BUGS
Contained elements – when adjusting the size of an element that contains other elements, the dashed outlines of the contained elements within it would move about even though the contained elements weren’t being affected. We’ve made it look nicer by keeping the contained elements’ outlines in place while you adjust their containers.
Button shadow – shadows on submit buttons were not being displayed correctly on live pages. They should display on the live page how they display in the editor as per the properties of the shadow, but that wasn’t happening. The button shadows are now working for all modes except Purchase, which we’re working to fix as soon as we can.
Sendiio – we’ve improved the way errors are logged for this API, which will help support solve any issues you have a lot faster.
Stay safe, and happy converting!
