Convertri Updates – 28/08/18

Yesterday, I smelled bonfire smoke.

And let me tell you something…

I. Am. So. EXCITED.

Reader, you and I have been sharing these updates throughout the seasons. We’ve shared the Fourth of July, Christmas, Thanksgiving, various half-birthdays and holidays together…

(Not necessarily in that order…)

…But if you’ve been sticking with us a while, you’ll know autumn (or fall, y’all) is the number one season here at Convertri HQ.

Why?

It’s hard to pin down: something about the raking of leaves, the pulling out of fresh winter sweaters, the cracking of the spine of a new academic year diary.

Autumn has always promised new beginnings – and that’s one of the many reasons we’re not too sorry to be packing away our flip flops after another exciting two and a half weeks of summer. (See ya next year, chafed toes!)

But not before a quick round of tidying up, refreshing and getting the house ready for coziness, Halloween and all things pumpkin-flavoured.

That’s why this week, you’ll find mainly maintenance updates and a couple of new features centred on sprucing up the place.

So, without further ado, refresh yourself by hitting CTRL + SHIFT + R (or CMD + SHIFT + R if you’re on a Mac) to experience that new-Convertri smell:

NEW ON THE BLOG

Nothing this week, but rest assured I’m putting together some new material.

HELP DOCS

A few routine updates to various help docs this week. We’ve got brand new videos for archiving/unarchiving domains as well as verifying your site on the Google Search Console:

https://help.convertri.com/article/183-how-to-set-up-google-search-console

And we also have one brand new help doc straight from the brain of one of our cleverest wizards, who figured out a way to create dropdown menus:

FEATURES

Dashboard – we’ve added friendly messages to your funnels, prospects, orders, domains and products screens when they’re empty, just to brighten up the place.

Onboarding – we’re continuing to make improvements to our new user onboarding, which will keep new users happy with Convertri (and keeping the money coming for affiliates!).

Page templates [PRO] –
Aspiration (checkout) – reach new heights of sales.
Aspiration (delivery) – a constructive delivery page.
Assessment (coming soon) – drum up excitement for your latest release.

BUGS
Funnels – ones belonging to archived domains were starting to pop up on the Campaigns screen. We’ve stopped feeding them after midnight, so they should stay put.

Forms – credit card input error messages (such as “invalid expiry date”, etc) stopped showing. The validation was working fine: but the messages weren’t being shown. This has been fixed.

Logout – if your account expired or you had just signed up, the option to log out was missing. (We feel very humbled and flattered that no one raised it as an issue until now.) We’ve added logout links to the Dashboard, so you can take a breather when you need.

Affiliates – if for some reason your affiliate commission payout won’t be sent (e.g., if you still need to enter your PayPal email address), you’ll now see missing commission added to the next scheduled payment.

Onboarding – when logging on for the first time, new users would click to create their first domain, and nothing would be shown to let them know it was being verified. We’ve now added a message to let new users know their domain is being set up.

UI – we had messed up a bit with styling of our Dashboard, for example cancel buttons lost their gray border. We cleaned up that mess.

Happy converting!
