Convertri Updates – 03/04/18

If there’s one thing we never do, it’s give dates.

We get asked pretty often when a new feature’s coming out and we always say we don’t give timescales.

This is because dev work is notoriously hard to estimate.  Some jobs we expect to take an age actually turn out to be simple, others that we think are going to be simple turn out to involve rewriting entire subsystems (looking at YOU, sticky footers).

So normally, talking about release dates is just making stuff up, which is why we don’t do it.  (And not just us – pretty much any software company will tell you the same thing)

But today, we’re breaking with tradition.

Today, we have a release date for the new UI.

17th April.

It’s currently on our test servers and we’re beating out the kinks and rounding off the edges.

Next Tuesday, I’ll have a video tour for you.

Tuesday after that, we go live.

Pinkie-swear.

We’ve also got a couple of things for you this week to tide you over while the testing team beat the new system (and sometimes the devs) with a wrench.  Remember, you’ll need to force-refresh (CTRL + SHIFT + R, or CMD + SHIFT + R if you’re on a Mac) to see the new stuff.

FEATURES

[Pro]  3 new templates have been added to the collection, adding more funnel pages in the Assessment and Nursery styles

BUGS

Mobile display:  Mobile Chrome should no longer think your pages aren’t mobile-friendly, so you’ll no longer get an annoying pop-up at the bottom on this browser.

Note:  We’re aware of a bug affecting landscape display on iPhone 6 and later models, where the page is shown too large for the phone screen.  We should have a fix for this in the next couple of days.

HELP VIDEOS

Nothing this week, but there are going to be SO many very soon.  We’re working on updating all the help videos for the new UI and we’re hoping to release as many of these on the 17th as possible as well.
