Convertri Updates – 18/7/17
Defeating machine-made clone armies of Zod, wrangling abstract concepts into two-dimensional prisms, bringing the full spectrum of colour to a colourless world…
Yes, this week’s updates brought to you by the Thursday midnight line-up on your favourite B-movie channel.
Can you say, ‘blockbuster about a sentient sales funnel’?
(We like to think everything we do is preemptively avoiding a Skynet situation.)
It’ll be a couple years before Little Shopping Cart of Horrors hits a theatre near you, so in the meantime just bear with us – good stuff’s a-comin’.
Tune in here for the latest updates and if you’re using Convertri, please force-refresh (CTRL + SHIFT + R, or CMD + SHIFT + R if you’re on a Mac) your browser to see the changes:
FEATURES
Navigate within iFrame – there’s a brand new checkbox in the Page Properties panel which will tell your page to open any links in an iFrame inside that iFrame. Picture this:
You have a website at www.domain.com, which shows iFramed content from your Convertri page. There’s a link on this page to www.google.com. When the box is unchecked, clicking the link will navigate away from www.domain.com to www.google.com. With this toggle on, clicking this link shows www.google.com INSIDE the iFrame, so it’ll still say www.domain.com in the address bar.
Most page protection services will need this toggle on to work, but beware: it’s going to give you some weirdness if you’re using a page with the toggle on within the WordPress plugin or HTML export.
Form text – taste the rainbow (hey Skittles, give us free stuff!) by picking the colour of the text users enter in your forms.
HTML element – scrollbars are now off by default, since more people didn’t want them around than did. If you’re one of the scroll-lovin’ few, switch them back on using the ‘scrollbars’ toggle, just like before.
New templates [PRO] –
Mountaineer – spacious, outdoorsy and the perfect vehicle for your hiking or camping business.
General – for when you just need a darn good, no-frills conversion engine.
Amaranth – full-width images and a bullet trail lead the eye through this captivating design.

BUGS
Form checkbox – forms were submitting even when checkboxes marked as ‘required’ were left empty. This defeated the point, to say the least. It’s fixed now.
Post-submission redirection – when using the WordPress plugin or HTML export, everything got trapped inside the iFrame a la 80’s Superman villains. We’ve changed it so the redirects have been set free.
Prospects – when existing prospects signed up to your list again, a whole new record got created inside Convertri rather than updating the old one. That could have one day caused an uprising of clone armies (maybe), so we fixed it and thus the future of humankind was secured.
