Convertri Updates – 11/7/17

Hold onto your hats, because we’ve a lot to show you this week.

If you love creating things like menus and popups, you’ll be pleased to know we’ve made it easier for you to create dynamic pages without having to tweak every single little element on your page.

There’s a brand new button on the left hand toolbar that lets you do this even quicker, so make sure you try it out.

And for all you SEO lovers, the dev team have introduced a couple of new metadata features that are really cool, or so they say… we don’t really know, we just trust them. (We’re actually kind of scared of their big brains.)

But while you check that out, don’t forget to take a look at the other awesome features we have for you in this week’s update. Of course, if you’re using Convertri, force-refresh (CTRL + SHIFT + R, or CMD + SHIFT + R if you’re on a Mac) your browser to see the updates:

FEATURES

Behaviours – now you can create things like menus a lot easier, because you now have the options to make behaviours on elements affect all their contained elements if you want to (or turn it off if you don’t).

Start Hidden – we’ve also added a new layer of functionality so you can select all elements contained within one element to start hidden. You can find the button in the left hand toolbar.  If you don’t want contained elements to be hidden as well, you can still use the ‘Start hidden’ checkbox in the Properties Panel for that.

Canonical tag – your published pages now contain the ‘canonical’ meta tag, so you won’t have any problems caused by duplicate content on multiple URLs: this tag tells search engines which version of a URL you want to appear in search results.

HTML export – all of your juicy metadata, including favicon images, are now available to Google and others when you export your Convertri page to HTML.

New templates [PRO] –

Cuisine – a deliciously polished template for table reservations, a menu and more

Woodcraft – appease your inner Log Lady with a down-to-earth design in hearty tones

RentAp – for realtors and landlords big and small to display their dream homes

BUGS

Affiliate badge –  the global setting for the affiliate badge looked permanently disabled, because we fail UI forever.  This has been fixed.

Stripe –  Convertri is now completely independent of the version of the Stripe API you’re using, because we just tell Stripe to use the one we know how to talk to.  This wasn’t affecting the system operation, but it should now be more robust.

If you spot any bugs that need stomped on or just want to say howdy, drop up a line on Facebook:

See you next week!
