Convertri Updates – 19/11/19

Apricity (n) – the warmth of the sun in winter; a crisp, bright, chilly feeling you get from November-January.

My other favourite wintry words: heimal (of or relating to winter), subnivean (under or below the snow), brumation (sluggishness or torpor exhibited by cold-blooded reptiles during winter), and sitzmark (an impression left upon the snow when a skiier falls on his butt).

It’s these kinds of words that make winter kind of nice, at least in the four seconds of the morning before you slip on your front step and bruise your tailbone (because there’s not enough soft snow to leave a sitzmark).

In a similar vein of bringing joy to these long, dark nights – hello, by the way, to our users in Australia, we’re not jealous at all, hmph – the Convertri weekly update is here to make your sales a little bit easier as we ramp up towards to F-word season (sorry… “festive”).

Put your gloves on and take a stab at CTRL+SHIFT+R (or CMD+SHIFT+R if you’re on a Mac) to see what’s new:

FEATURES

Sticky videos – you can now add Close buttons to your sticky videos, if you’re worried about coming off as annoying. Hint: you’re not. We love you.

Page templates [PRO AND AGENCY] –

Real Estate (meeting opt-in)
Real Estate (thank you)

BUGS

Shadows – if you put shadows on elements, they’d show in the Page Builder but not Preview or on the published page. We’ve poked the sun and now it’s flickered back on.

GetResponse – we’ve had multiple reports of it repeatedly disconnecting for users. We’ve pulled out the cable, blown into it really hard, and plugged it back in. It now works fine.

Publishing – sneaky “null” values were creeping in, caused by invalid interactions – this meant pages weren’t able to be published in some rare cases. One shot of whisky and a flamethrower session later, no more nulls. Publish to your heart’s content.

YouTube – add a YouTube video to your page, and the thumbnail might have been squished. We’ve straightened them out.

Happy converting!
