Convertri Updates – 29/10/19

Hi and welcome to our new users! This is our weekly Convertri update, where you can learn about all the new features and bug fixes that have happened lately.

After our bumper updates over the last couple weeks, it’s finally time to catch our breath and explore the new features.

The new Presto player seems to be lighting up these darkening nights for those who love a good visual message, while the all-singing, all-dancing Actions and Events section is making life – and sales – easier for everybody.

This week, we have updates to these new features, a handy help doc to help you self-host your videos like an expert, and a bunch of bug fixes from our clever devs.

If you just can’t wait to take a look, check out what’s new by hitting CTRL+SHIFT+R (or CMD+SHIFT+R if you’re on a Mac):

Quick Tips – we’ve uncovered this really useful guide from the Knowledgebase, and put it front and centre in the Resources section so you can get up and running with Convertri faster.

VSL Academy (checkout)
VSL Academy (sales page)

BUGS

Videos [PRO AND AGENCY] – any files smaller than 720p got stuck while uploading, causing corrupted video entries not usable on a published page. We fixed it.

Videos [PRO AND AGENCY] – also, if a video file corrupts, and error message has now been added that will tell you so.

Videos – setting or clearing the source of a video in the Presto player wasn’t being affected by Undo or Redo. We fixed it.

Actions and Events – you were able to select any named element for a Pause Video action, which didn’t really make sense and wouldn’t work. We’ve now limited this action to video, Vimeo, Wistia and YouTube elements only.

Layers – Scroll events weren’t working properly with Layers, so we fiddled around with it a bit and got it working.

Stripe – the code for this payment method was slowing down your pages. We tweaked it to be faster than ever.

Images – if you uploaded your image a while ago, it was being stretched and squeezed out of proportion on the page. We fixed it.

Happy converting!
