Convertri Updates – 23/10/18
Minimalism is a trend that’s here to stay.
I tried emptying my spare room to create a meditation space… but I got distracted playing with a folder of water-damaged Pokemon cards, some dry felt tip glitter pens and my old Gameboy.
Acres of gleaming, empty white space has its uses… but sometimes, it’s better to have everything you love in one place. (Out with minimalism, in with #cosyclutter)
So if you’re building a gorgeous minimalist page, whitespace is something you’ll need plenty of.
For everyone else, it can be a headache to close up all that whitespace when rearranging page templates or remodelling sections for a new look.
So, this week’s update is just for you.
And as usual… you’ll need to force-refresh Convertri if you’re using it right now to see the updates. Just hit CTRL + SHIFT + R (or CMD + SHIFT + R if you’re on a Mac):
FEATURES
Page Builder – using shift+drag is super useful to close up small chunks of whitespace. But, when you seriously remodel, you’ll need a quicker way to pull your layout together. So, we’ve added a Remove Whitespace button – click it when an element is selected, and it will move it all the way up to the element above it. Find the new Remove Whitespace button on the Quick Actions bar when your element is selected, next to Delete.
Custom HTML – when you add certain custom HTML elements to a page, you want the HTML code to work on the published page, but not in the editor. Take autoplaying videos, for example: if you add those via HTML, it would get annoying really quick to have them autoplaying while you’re editing your page. So, we added a Preview HTML in Editor switch to the Element Properties section of the Properties panel. Toggle it on to render HTML in the Page Builder, and toggle it off to see a placeholder.
