Convertri Updates – 7/8/18
Today is a very special Tuesday.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish a very happy half-birthday to Sven-Göran Eriksson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Chris Parnell and the discovery of the largest alluvial gold nugget in history in Moliagul, Australia.
(Treasures, all of you.)
And also, to me – but it’s my real birthday, not just a half one.
I plan on spending today writing some words, sippin’ some coffee, watching the rain patter outside my window and bulldozing enough Chinese takeaway to make a grown man cry…
…In other words, exactly what I do every Tuesday.
That’s the BEST thing about being a grown-up – no one can stop you making every day special!
Of course, there’s nothing I wanted to unwrap more today than a bunch of new Convertri updates, features and templates. And the lovely dev team delivered ‘em in spades.
So grab some cake, pull up a pouffe and let’s rip the fancy paper off (folding it carefully for future gifts because we’re thrifty and environmentally conscious, yay)!

NEW ON THE BLOG
What’s more likely to be killing your business? Fear? Supply chain issues? Bears?
The answer is (probably) none of the above, unless you run a honey distribution company… but what if we told you the results were in, and it’s your mobile responsive site? You better believe we’ve already come up with a solution.
Check out the new blog post:

HELP DOCS
After last week’s modal checkout update, you can find a brand new help doc all about how to set that up by clicking here:
https://help.convertri.com/article/219-how-to-create-a-modal-checkout
We’ve also added one about selecting multiple elements:

FEATURES
SSL – we’ve added an option to force redirect from a HTTP to a HTTPS version of your site, because Chrome is about to start marking any non-SSL page as insecure even when there is nothing to secure. (Thanks Chrome, always keeping us on our toes!) Configure your redirect at Account > My Domains > More > Redirects. (All existing domains that have an HTTPS version will do this automatically.)
Domains – you can now redirect one domain to another you have on Convertri. This is useful for redirecting www.site.com to site.com, for example. Find it at Account > My Domains > More > Redirects.
Page templates [PRO] –
Consultation (delivery) – a little burst of confetti to celebrate a sale.
Blueberry (checkout) – a simple, juicy checkout page.
Blueberry (delivery) – a wellness-centred delivery page for your holistic needs.
BUGS
Full-width elements – this nasty little bug wasn’t immediately obvious, but the original X coordinate of full-width elements was being affected when that element was dragged along with other non-full-width elements as a multiple selection. This meant you might not have noticed unless you switched to non-full-width again, but it’s been fixed now.
Text – when formatting paragraphs, empty lines weren’t being styled. Now, when you select multiple lines of text including some empty ones, text operations like changing font family or making text bold will apply and any new text you put on these lines will use that style.
Page Import – in some image format-related circumstances, Convertri wasn’t importing some or any images from Instapage pages. We sat it down, had a stern word, and it promised never to do it again.
Configure Forms – the green confirmation messages that let you know integrations were configured correctly went AWOL. They were eventually discovered under a bush having a party, so they’ve been put back in the dialog and are now grounded.
Cheers!
Beth
