Convertri Updates – 31.10.17

It’s finally October  31st – and you know what that means…

(Payday! But also…)

Gummy bears, candy corn, M&M’s and those little boxes of raisins no one wants!

Yes, bags and bags of delicious tooth-rotting candy, ready to be devoured… while you shut the curtains, turn off all the lights and watch a scary movie in bed, shuddering every time you hear a bunch of kids outside.

Trick or treaters are the worst.

(Halloween? More like goodbye-ween.)

So, while you’re burrowing safely away from all the costumed mini caped crusaders, Pennywises and sexy cats (we don’t know why either), cooking up an insulin spike that could harpoon a whale, why not forego the B-movies this year and scare up some profits instead?

Log onto Convertri and check out the brand new updates, and as always, if you’re currently using Convertri, you’ll need to force-refresh (CTRL + SHIFT + R, or CMD + SHIFT + R if you’re on a Mac) your browser to see what’s new:

FEATURES

Fonts – while not a proper ‘feature’ per se, there have been some changes to the fonts we think you’ll want to know about. We’ve removed all fonts that aren’t Google fonts from Convertri’s default selection, e.g. Arial, because we can’t guarantee how they’ll look on mobile: Android especially has a tiny font selection, and often uses substitutes. And if they aren’t exactly the same size, that’s where empty lines and cutoffs occur… but Google Fonts are much more reliable.

We’ll be adding more Google fonts into the default selection soon, and you can also the Font Manager to import any Google fonts you want.

(By the way, non-Google fonts won’t be available for new pages. But, if your existing pages are using them, they’ll still be available at the bottom of the font selector, with a warning that they may not display properly on mobile.)

New templates [PRO]

Webhosts – a modern, reliable, techy look.

Summer – wide images and bright colours are perfect for a travel agency.

Eye Care – bold and reassuring for eye doctors everywhere.

BUGS

Triggers – the Stay On Page trigger was broken, but it’s not anymore.

Page Importer – we accidentally dropped this and it broke when we upgraded to SSL.  It should be fixed now, so you can import HTTP pages again.
