Convertri Updates – 31/01/23

It’s official – the membership site beta is on!

Applications have now closed, as we have more than enough of beta testers on board to make sure the membership feature is spick n’ span before it goes to a wider release.

As Neil said, we’re expecting that date to be 28th February – it could be a little before, it could be a little later.

But, at the end of February, every Pro and Agency user will be able to set up and manage membership sites with Convertri.

Remember – just to be totally transparent with you lot – the first release won’t have all the bells and whistles. Memberships 1.0 will let you set up member-restricted sites,  sell memberships and connect memberships to other products, upload rich modules with video and image content and add and manage members.

Extra features will come soon after, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.

Meanwhile, here’s everything else that’s been happening:

FEATURES

Image Manager –  within the new image manager in the Dashboard, you can now reorganise your images by moving them into different folders, and view images within a specific folder only.

Fonts – we’ve added extra support in the app for when a font may not display the way you expect. Put simply, if your chosen font doesn’t come with a specific bold or italic variant, the browser tries to plump it up or stretch it sideways if you choose bold or italic in our text formatting options. These browser-applied styles can be a bit… hit and miss… and they cause issues, especially on mobile. This is usually because the fonts end up taking more or less space, causing positioning headaches.

As well as reminding you in this email, we’ve now put reminders in the Fonts Manager and when publishing your page, so you can be aware when you’re using a font that is known to cause a problem.

BUGS

Quantities – if you add a quantity dropdown option to the modal checkout, it shows the product’s quantity multiplied by 10 plus the chosen quantity. For example, if you choose 1, the product will be multiplied by 10 plus 1, and it looks like you’re purchasing 11 products. This is totally misleading, so we fixed it.
