Convertri Updates – 04/01/23

Happy New Year and welcome to the first update of 2023, Convertri fans!

We hope your holidays were festive and you’re zooming into January ready and raring to tackle the year ahead (we know we are).

And we’re kicking off what promises to be a very successful year with a bunch of new features and updates to make Convertri even better for your brand new projects.

So, what do you say: ready to kick ass with us in 2023? Let’s go!

FEATURES

Countdown timers – you can now hide hours and minutes on your countdown timers. This is great for fitting timers into smaller spaces and will give a better impact when counting down from a minute or less.

Zapier – you can now pass on hidden fields with Zapier, which means you can use it to handle even more data you have on your forms.

Discounts – on the forms widget, the Discount field will now be hidden if neither a permanent discount or a coupon discount is attached to the product. This means that if you aren’t offering a discount on your product, your customers won’t see this line and think there is supposed to be one.

Onboarding – we’ve added a quick tour to the Profile Settings screen, which is handy if you’re new to us or using our affiliate program to recruit new members.

Templates – previously, all of the templates in the page template selector appeared in the order in which they were added, which means they’re not very organised. When we took down the Christmas decorations we had a good old new year’s tidy up, so now they’re in alphabetical order.

BUGS

Keap – you may have been losing connection with third-party integration service Keap, which meant you had to reconnect to it every 24 hours or so. We’ve fixed this.

Orders – if a product had a discount and shipping applied, the wrong total may have shown up on the Orders screen. We’ve fixed this.

Form widget – if you created a form widget with a credit card input, the subtotal of the product may have shown the wrong amount in the Orders details. We’ve fixed it.

HELP DOCS

Some general updates have been made to keep the help docs up to date, and we have a brand new doc on button sublabels: https://help.convertri.com/article/705-how-to-add-sublabel-in-button

INTERESTING STUFF

This week in the Facebook group, Ditto Nana asks if there’s a way to upload MP3’s for your customers to sample sounds before purchasing (hint: there is):

Daimon Sweeney starts an interesting conversation about being able to tell if someone has finished watching a video on Convertri, which can be done with Actions and Events:

And finally, on this day in history, French educator Louis Braille was born in 1809. Blinded at the age of three as a result of an accident with a stitching awl in his father’s shop, he went on to develop a system of printing and writing that visually impaired people use today. Braille’s pioneering work paved the way for greater accessibility, and although we can’t make the internet bumpy, technology such as screen readers allow visually impaired people to experience all the internet has to offer. Alt tags are used by screen readers to describe images in speech form… and they’re great for SEO.
