Convertri Updates – 12/09/17

As last week’s update was rather quiet on the western front, you may have noticed the other little signs of change happening all around us this season.

Golden, brown and fiery orange leaves blazing against grey skies, for example, a slight chill in the air laced with the smell of woodsmoke – or just that you need your slightly heavier jacket.

(Also, Pumpkin Spice. Pumpkin Spice everywhere.)

But, if you put your ear to the ground… there’s a distant rumble, growing louder. A herd of somethings are galloping over the horizon, much faster than seems necessary in this slow bookish season –

And no, it’s not Thanksgiving garlands and Christmas cards. (Although if you see these in stores, it’s perfectly acceptable to stick your fingers in your ears and go ‘la la la’.)

Yes, it’s UPDATES, BABY!

The Yuletide season has truly come early, as we have a raft of exciting new tweaks and features to keep you busy from now ‘til New Year’s. As always, we’ve taken your requests on board, naughty or nice – can you spot yours in the list?

If you have any more suggestions, please get in touch and let us know!

For now, check out this week’s changes and don’t forget, if you’re using Convertri right this second, you need to force-refresh (CTRL + SHIFT + R, or CMD + SHIFT + R if you’re on a Mac) your browser to see what’s new:

FEATURES

Publishing –  we heard you like publishing: so you can now see the full publish path in the Publish dialog, to know where you’re publishing!

UI: drag handles – when you select an element the border and drag handles will now remain on top, so you’ll be able to use them even if it’s partly covered by another element.

UI: text toolbar – we’ve told it to remember where you put it, and stay there. It will appear in the same place the next time you open the Page Editor.

UI: text element properties –  these can now be opened even when you’re editing text, because the whole only-available-when-you-click-on-the-border thing was not one of our best ideas. Live and learn!

UI: Element Toolbar – you can now add elements by clicking as well as dragging…

UI: Element Toolbar – …and also, any text labels will now fade out after a few seconds, and only appear again when you mouseover the toolbar…

UI: Element Toolbar – …plus, the Image element is now top level again.

New templates [PRO]

Effective – this highly-qualified template will give your pages the CEO look.

Showcase – for displaying your physical goods in their best digital light.

Bootcamp – no-nonsense parallax and dynamic colours get the job done.

BUGS

Mobile editor – the elements tray was showing despite the fact you can’t add elements in mobile view.  This dumb thing got fixed.

UI: text toolbar – will now appear over the top menu by default rather than over the editor canvas, because no one (even us) liked it where it was before.

Fields – before, you were forced to connect fields to at least an autoresponder, which meant you couldn’t just record info inside Convertri if you wanted.  This has been fixed, so now you can.

Page Importer [AGENCY] – text line height will no longer be ignored.

Properties Panel – some controls weren’t resizing properly, causing them to look proper rubbish.  We fixed it.

By the way – we’re having another Q&A sesh this weekend, Sunday at 11AM EST. Andy will be live answering any questions you may have about Convertri, sales funnels, or life in general. It would be so totally cool if you’d come. Please RSVP here:
