Convertri Updates – 05/09/17

Pass us a wrench and put the kettle on – our dev team once again has the hood up on the new UI, tinkering with the clever mechanical bits and bobs that make Convertri tick.

Having taken her for a test drive, we’ve concluded she’s a humdinger all right – but there’s still a few kinks in the bodywork to hammer out.

(And some ill-advised bumper stickers to peel off.)

You guys have been brilliantly vocal with your feedback, so keep it comin’: and remember, every suggestion you send in helps make Convertri better.

On our to-do list over the next couple of weeks:

– Element labels aren’t always resizing properly with the buttons in the Elements tray

– (Come to think of it, the element labels in the elements tray only need to appear on mouseover, so we’ll hide those while your cursor is elsewhere)

– The text toolbar’s pretty annoying floating around up there, so we’ll haul it out of the way

– Text element properties are a faff to find: we need to put those somewhere easier

– Meanwhile, moving the Tools into the Properties Panel was not a good idea, so we’ll find a new home for those too

– Images are pretty important, so we’ll pluck them out of the Media section and make them a top-level element

– Plus, it’d be useful to see the full published URL in the Publish dialog
