Convertri Updates – 08/03/22
Breathing space.
We all need it now and again. From mental health to good web page design to sage advice from the London Underground, we should all mind the gap.
“Just as white space in design allows your eye to focus on what’s most important, the same holds true in life.”
(Unfortunately, the name of whoever wrote that quote was deleted in favour of white space so I don’t know who said it.)
And this week, we’re releasing a brand new feature to let you add more subtle, considered and breathable white space into your pages.
Read on to find out more.
FEATURES
Margins – we’ve had a lot of requests for paragraph margins, so we’ve made your dreams a reality! You can now choose the spacing between paragraphs by setting its bottom margin. You can find these settings along with line height in the More dropdown when editing a text element.
BUGS
Published pages – some published pages may have shown our 404 default error page when loaded, and there may have been an error in the thumbnails on the funnel screen. We’ve fixed the cause of this issue.
Cleancut template – if you used this template, you may have found some issues when publishing your pages. We’ve found the bit of code that went wrong and it’ll now work fine.
INTERESTING STUFF
On the blog last week, Andy spoke about some of the best marketing hooks to snag your prospects’ attention:
And this week in the Facebook group, he talks about a blast from the past: an 18th century marketing hook which connects Wedgewood pottery, Sears, and a guy called Jason:

And on this day in history, Philips demonstrated the compact disc publicly for the first time in 1979. The readable surface of a “CD” includes a spiral track wound tightly enough to cause light to diffract into a full visible spectrum – a truly incredible feat of technological innovation which was perfect for listening to the Backstreet Boys on the way to your granddad’s house. Nowadays we have a million different ways of listening to digital music, one of the most popular being good ol’ YouTube. Find out how to embed your favourite song (“Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”, of course) onto your page here:
