Convertri Updates – 01/03/2022
Good things come in small packages.
This week’s update may be tiny, but my goodness is it mighty – we have a great new feature for you, one that will save you a lot of hassle.
What better way to kick off a brand new month?
Here in the UK, it’s not only St David’s Day, when we celebrate everything Welsh – such as laverbread, daffodils and Tom Jones – but it’s also Pancake Day, when we traditionally stuff ourselves stupid with fluffy, doughy goodness smothered in syrup (or lemon juice and sugar, or chocolate spread, or banana, or…).
Which means it’s a damn good day all round, to be honest.
So pull up a pancake, get the Nutella out, and get ready to learn what’s new pussycat at Convertri HQ.
FEATURES
Image overlays – we’ve given you the ability to add overlays to your images, panels, videos, and any other elements with a Background section in their Properties panel. Head over to this section, toggle Overlay to On, and you can choose the colour of the overlay and transparency – no more awkwardly arranging panels over panels!
BUGS
Rotated images – when you put an image inside a panel, and rotate that image thanks to the new feature we released last week, the gridlines of the image may show its original position. We’ve oiled the cogs and now they turn as well.
Cloning funnels – last week, we told you that Dolly the sheep was cloned on that day in history. Our messing with cloning technology inadvertently broke the funnel cloning feature, which meant you got an error message. We’ve fixed the weird science and now you can clone your funnels all day long

And on this day in history, President Grant of the United States of America signed the bill creating the nation’s – and the world’s – first national park at Yellowstone on March 1, 1872. Thirty-odd presidents later, we’re still waiting for Redstone, Bluestone, Purplestone, and Beigestone.
